Can I bring my family/children/pets?
At this time, the hikes are open only to employees of Albemarle County. Consider revisiting the park another day with the family in tow!
Why is this an “off the clock” activity?
These hikes are intended to help connect employees both to their natural environment and fellow colleagues, and are not considered a requirement of the job.
How long will the hikes take?
Hikes will last about 45 minutes to account for the time needed for individuals to gather at the beginning, and return to their vehicles by 1pm.
Should I bring anything?
We strongly encourage you to wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, bring water, and pack bug spray just in case.
